Title: Operations Manager

Location: Dorchester

Salary: £35,000 + Company car

Hours: 40hrs per week

 

Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for the management of our Dorchester office location and leading teams of operatives in the South West region. The role requires the person to undertake operational management duties, the account management of existing customers and the business development for potential new clients. Your duties will include the following:

 

  • Manage the Dorchester Branch for the Company and report to the Head of Operations in London
  • Ensure that the Health & Safety requirements are implemented and adhered to by all staff
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling resources to meet customer requirements
  • Monitoring stock and inventory levels to ensure appropriate levels of inventory is held
  • Work with the Finance and Management teams to meet the projected budget and forecasts
  • Proactively liaise with the Helpdesk and Commercial teams to meet customer orders
  • Monitor and manage all absence including holiday, sickness, and paid & unpaid leave
  • Maintain and build excellent customer relationships for new and existing accounts
  • Input into the bid and tender process and pricing for all new contract work
  • Develop business development opportunities to drive increased revenue for the region
 

Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record in operational management with the responsibility for leading teams
  • Strong Account Management background in maintaining excellent customer relationships
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with internal customers/support functions
  • Highly customer focussed and always looking to deliver a high quality of service for clients
  • Previous working knowledge in the scheduling and planning of resources and commercial fleet vehicles
  • Capable of building a network of relationships to develop new business opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to present data and dashboard information
  • Minimum of 3 years’ managerial experience in an operational role in the service/FM sector
  • IOSH certificate or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential
