Job Title: HR Manager
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £40,000-£45,000


The HR Manager will assume comprehensive responsibility for all HR-related matters across the business ensuring compliance with best practice under current legislation.

Key Responsibilities:


• Assist with all aspects of staff recruitment throughout the organization, ensuring managerial sign-off and documentation and records kept
• Liaise with recruitment agents when necessary
• Ensure all job descriptions are kept current and formatted within accreditation guidelines
• Oversee job advertisements on Indeed and the company website
• Drafting offer letters and contracts, administering all onboarding and induction procedures
• Keeping requisite records whilst adhering to all data protection legislation
• Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated at all levels and followed at all times
• Identify potential policy changes and recommending revisions to the staff handbook
• Actively promote internal communication
• Administer personnel files in a manner compliant with legislation and company policy
• Actively engage with staff at all levels of the organization, assisting with advice for all manner of company/HR-related matters and, where appropriate, reporting feedback to senior management in order to aid constant improvement
• Oversee and maintain the company’s training budget, ensuring training records are current and properly administered
• Maintain the company competency matrix in line with regulatory requirements
• Ensure suitable performance appraisals are carried out quarterly, following up on any training or development requirements

Key Competencies:


• A minimum of 5 years’ experience within HR
• Experience of a “factory floor”, “building site” or similar workforce
• Approachable with excellent people skills and a good sense of humour
• Ability to communicate and manage excellent working relationships at all levels within a business
• Full knowledge of relevant HR legislation and best practice
• Trustworthy in maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Experience of working within and managing budgets
