The Role: Interim QC Inspector
The Sector: Construction
Salary: £23.00p/h
Duration: 3 month minimum
Location: Winchester
My client is in full swing on a modern construction and is looking to add a QC Inspector to the team on site to keep things on track. This role is available immediately but you must have significant relevant experience in order to be considered.
Purpose
To provide inspection activities and associated sign offs to various aspects of construction, including
- Paint finishes and coverage
- Measurements of weld seams on module framework and inter module connections
- Fit, finish and operation furniture and appliances against drawings and specification
- Measurement of partition walls against drawings and specification
- Measurement of plasterboard walls and ceilings against drawing and deflection head and fire stopping specifications
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing inspection at predesignated inspection hold points during the construction and fitout process.
- Completing inspection reports and documentation and ensuring they are filed appropriately
- Raising non-conformance reports and validation of any associated rework as required
- Providing sign offs of inspection stages as required
- Ensure fitment of fire sock in cavities
Key Objectives
- Maintain high standards of orderliness and cleanliness
- Maintain high standards of health and safety on site
- Perform inspections at the required time whilst not impacting the progress of the build
Skills & Experience
Experience in construction inspection. Ability to read and correctly interpret construction drawings and specifications. Ability to use handheld measuring devices including rules and callipers. Ability to pull together documented reports in Microsoft Office packages and the ability to imbed photographs into the reports.
Location & Hours
Based on site at Winchester
Hours 40 Hours / week. 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.
Possibility of overtime at weekends.
£23.00 / hour
