We are currently recruiting for a HVAC Supervisor to be based across 3 large sites in the Suffolk area, with the primary site being based at Lakenheath which as the most buildings.

The HVAC Supervisor will manage a team of 4 A/C Engineers who look after all air-conditioning and refrigeration on the sites. Systems worked on will include chillers, splits and small refrigeration. All HVAC work is covered in house rather than being subcontracted out so the team is very versatile/

The role of HVAC Supervisor is to be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance across a large portfolio of commercial properties including schools, offices, hospitals, retail units and large warehouse facilities. Managing a team of 4 engineers you will be responsible for all maintenance works as well as refurbishment and breakdown work across the homes. As well as staff management you will be the first line of technical assistance for the engineers and manage all compliance across the site including all FGAS compliance, keeping log books up to date and keeping on top of new rules and regulations.

Duties of the role include:


  • Supervise HVAC engineering team carrying out reactive and PPM tasks
  • Work with schedulers and asset team to collate an accurate asset list and PPM program
  • Responsible for all FGas duties and logbooks for all 3 sites
  • Liaise with the additional works to provide technical information and quotations


  • Respond positively to reactive requests as required, ensuring workloads are managed alongside the planned maintenance regime.


  • Implement training requirements to keep a high level of technical competency within the team. Complete appraisals ensuring personal development for each individual staff member
  • Complete return to work m meetings and disciplinary investigations as required. Managing sickness and absence.
  • Delivering Staff briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Keeping on top of new industry developments and being an advocate for strong levels of compliance and health and safety. Completing risk assessments and method statements. Understand and effectively discharge all relevant responsibilities where nominated as a Duty Holder, Authorised, Responsible or Competent Person.
  • Conducting work audits to ensure high levels of work and compliance
  • Pricing for small works and creating quotations

The applicant:

The ideal applicant will come from a hands on background themselves and have experience managing a team. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:


  • C&G or equivalent in Air Conditioning and ventilation systems
  • FGas training and experience
  • Experience and background in HVAC systems maintenance and repairs
  • Team management experience
  • Willing to act as responsible person (RP) for compliance purposes
  • Good organisation skills
