Commercial Gas Engineer

Working for a Large Facilities Management company who are growing their Commercial Gas portfolio and are based throughout the UK. As a company they have a large and increasing client base all over the UK, offering them all the highest of standards in the Combustion and Heating sectors.
As a company they can offer career progression, job security, up skilling courses and some fantastic company benefits in the industry. We are looking to recruit Combustion Engineer / Commercial Gas Engineers to work on a static site in Bristol.
As a Commercial Gas Engineer you will be working on a variety of different commercial gas systems on multiple commercial and industrial sites. The role will include service, maintenance, reactives, burner commissioning and installations, boiler breakdowns on gas burner, heating systems and projects.
On offer with the Commercial Gas Engineers position is a permanent package which includes a PDA system, Holiday Package, annual salary reviews, company bonuses, private health care and invitations to company days out.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all routine maintenance and reactive works are carried out in line with manufacturer instructions. All current standards, industry best practice and regulations to be adhered to, to meet and exceed customer expectations.
2. Ensure all paperwork produced is clear, concise and complies with current legislation and best practice.
3. Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
4. Attend site and carry out reactive repairs, when required as instructed by the helpdesk team.
5. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out plant maintenance and that current purchase order processes are followed.
6. Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in accordance with Operations Manager, instructions.
7. Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as customer site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required.
8. To develop a good working relationship with all members of staff and customer’s staff.
9. Ensure a professional image is presented to customers and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
10. Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.

Qualifications and Training Preferred:
• Gas qualified engineer
• CPA1 ,COCN1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, BMP11, CORT1
Experience preferred but not required:
- F gas Qualification
- Air Conditioning tickets
- Knowledge of Air Conditioning
Additional requirements of the job:
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to resolve problems with own initiative/experience.
• Flexible approach to working hours.
• The ability to safely lift and carry a range of materials and equipment.
• Competent to work at heights from steps, scaffolds and mobile elevating work platforms.
• Having good communication skills.
• Being able to follow technical instructions.
• Wide range of gas maintenance and repair work.
