We are recruiting for a commercial maintenance plumber to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a mobile basis in the Birmingham area. The plumber will be responsible for all repairs and upkeep to the water and mechanical services on commercial facilities across the area plus small works refurbishments etc.
On offer:
This is a permanent role
Large OTE opportunities basic circa 24-26k (plus with OTE potential)
The basic pay is 11.22ph - £12.00ph
travel time in the morning from door to work
Circa 40 hours per week
Half hour travel time given from work to home
Call out rota TBC
Plenty of overtime available paid at premium
Van with personal use if declared
Plumber Description:
To travel to each facility completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects. To cover the following plant:
Hot and cold water feeds
Pumps and valves
Non-Gas Boiler work
Radiators and heating
Drainage
Bathroom / toilet pipework and water services
Mechanical plant room
Fabric maintenance duties – basic joinery, painting etc.
Leak repair
Water heaters and cylinders
Water Tank
L8 prevention and thermostatic mixer valves
Plus other associated tasks
Plumber Requirements:
Candidates will be time served and have as a minimum City and Guilds in Plumbing / Mech Engineering
Ideally CSCS or similar H&S certification
Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
Valid driving license
Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks
Mechanically skilled engineer with a knowledge of Building services (water, heating, ventilation and waste)
Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
