We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager with experience in Energy and Water to be based from the Washington area.




This is a permanent position.

Salary circa £40kpa with bonus and £3k car allowance.

Circa 40 hours per week.

Based from Washington with UK travel




Purpose of the role:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development of new business opportunities within the Energy & Water Services team

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Creating new business opportunities and setting up meetings/surveys

• Visiting clients (both self-generated and current)

• Technical understating of either the water network arena or new build construction market

• Planning and preparing presentations (Powerpoint)

• Communicating new product developments to prospective clients

• Overseeing the development of marketing literature

• Providing management with feedback

• Ensure all projects are GDPR compliant.

• Travel maybe required on occasion to monitor programme delivery progress.

• To ensure understanding of the client's quality and environmental management systems and to work according to their requirements.

• To be aware of the environmental aspects and impacts relevant to the work of the job holder as well as ensuring compliance with any environmental legislation that is applicable to the job.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educated to degree level of equivalent

• Business Development Management experience

• Experience of working within a Water Efficiency environment

• Knowledge of the water network or new build construction arena preferred

• Sales and customer growth experience essential

• The ability to manage multiple projects

• Strong business sense

• Good budgeting skills

• Good problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
