JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - A/C & Electrical
Location: Plymouth / South West
Working within the Maintenance Team for our UK wide Facilities Management client providing M+E services to support this prestigious Central Government contract. As the Maintenance Engineer you shall be qualified to undertake PPM and Reactive air conditioning maintenance tasks across multiple buildings. Additionally, they may be required to liaise technically in project works associated with the Mechanical and Electrical engineering systems across the estate. As the Engineer you will be expected to take responsibility for the delivery of these tasks to meet the requirements of the contract and agreed KPI's.
Job Purpose:
To work as a member of the Government contract in Plymouth engineering / maintenance team to ensure the M+E services remain operational and in good condition across multiple buildings on the Plymouth / South West estate.
Key Duties:
- To provide engineering task completion to sites within region and support FM support teams, across the GOV Plymouth / SW Estate.
- Support out-of-hours response in emergency situations and support engineering call out rota as and when necessary as part of role, and to implement any necessary escalation procedures to the engineering management team as and when required
- Help to ensure the Maintenance team complete full self-delivery of all possible tasks within region
- To complete PPMs and reactive work orders within given timescales and with accurate information.
- Ensure compliance with H&S inductions and the supervision of contractors working on systems under the jurisdiction of our client
- Coordinate shut down of systems as and when required
Experience
We are looking for a reliable and experienced AC, FGAS qualified, engineer to carry out service maintenance works. The successful candidate will provide a professional service to our client working on a varied selection of HVAC, M&E and control systems. You will be suitably qualified and have at least 5 years industry experience in commercial AC maintenance and be able to complete servicing as well as breakdowns, predominantly on Daikin & Denco systems covering at least two sites including a critical data centre.
Skills:
Experience with all types of Air Conditioning systems; Split, Multi Splits, VRF, VRV, Small Chillers, FCU`s, Air Handling Units and Close Control Computer Room equipment
Time served in an Air Con specific service role (not installation)
Experience with Packaged or air handling equipment preferable
Experience working on commercial equipment, not domestic installers
Excellent all-round ability in a busy building maintenance team.
Qualifications:
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 Air Con & Refrigeration Qualification
Or City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2/ NVQ Level 2-3 Electrical
18 th Edition IEE Regs (BS7671)
Hold current refrigerant gas handling certificate C&G2079-11 CAT1
Working knowledge of SFG20 Maintenance Specification
Full UK driving licence
