My client is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to look after all the hard services in a large site in Pontefract. You will be managing a team of 14 technical staff and 6 support admin staff and will be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance as well as minor works on the building.
Duties of the role include:
· Managing the provision of M&E Maintenance and Building Services works In line with KPI's and compliance standards.
· Establishing and monitoring quality standards for M&E Works and planned building maintenance.
· Direct Line Management of M&E staff and supervisors, private consultants and
Contractors.
· Being an Authorised Person on site for LV, HV and Medical Gas (training provided if required).
· Preparing and adjusting the Estates PPM programme, investigating and resolving day- to-day maintenance and reactive issues, ensuring that services are maintained, or restored as quickly as possible.
· Carrying out Estate Surveys, Safety and Environmental and Fire Risk Assessments and reports, all in accordance with Legislation, Company Policy and Procedures.
· HR duties including recruitment and selection of Engineers, disciplinary, training requirements and recognising and rewarding those staff performing well. Also supporting the in-house apprentice training program.
· Preparing monthly clients reports
· Regular client meetings to improve relationships and ensure superior service
The ideal candidate will display the following experience and qualifications and skills:
· Hand-on background with relevant technical qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical)
· Experience Managing staff
· Ideally and Authorised Person, or willing to learn
· Experience within a critical environment or large static site is preferred
· Resilient to work pressures in a busy role
· Excellent customer service skills
· Strong relationship builder and communicator
