Role: Health & Safety / CDM Consultant
Sector: Construction & Property Consultancy
Location: Guildford - Covering Western Home Counties
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Car / Travel Allowance + Excellent benefits package
I am currently working with a leading construction and property consultancy who are currently looking to expand their H&S / CDM team due consistent success within the business and the organisation winning a number of projects over the last year. As a company, they have grown from strength to strength, due to the quality of their work and forward-thinking attitude and excellent relationships that they have built with their clients over the years which has lead to repeat work.
They are looking for a focused and independent Health & Safety Consultant to join the team based from their clients offices dotted throughout the Western Home Counties, the role would suit someone who is looking to work on some of South East's most prestigious projects within the residential, commercial, retail, education, industrial, sport, heritage, leisure and healthcare sectors.
The post holder will have responsibility for the management of health and safety on projects under their control and ensuring these projects meet the business standards on project governance. The post holder will also be flexible to deliver other construction, project health, CDM 2015 and general H&S compliance reviews/audits.
My client are looking for an experienced and influential H&S / CDM Consultant to join the team who has the relevant industry qualifications with a NEBOSH Construction and working towards membership of APS or IOSH. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership and client-facing skills, whilst being a part of a growing and highly successful business.
Duties:
Working alongside a team of consultants to provide Health and Safety and CDM support to a variety of clients.
Attend client and projects meetings
Update the H&S file from start to completion of projects
Issuing of F10's
Working alongside large-scale Principal Contractors to influence compliance.
Support the implementation of H&S policy and procedure.
Conduct audits/inspections of sites from design to completion stage client-wide.
Recent experience as H&S Consultant and knowledge of new CDM2015 Regulations. Experience of working within a busy, demanding customer focused environment, and the ability to engage Principal Contractors and external clients at all levels.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Construction or relevant industry qualification
- Working towards membership of APS or IOSH
- 2 years in a similar position
- Experience of CDM Regulations 2015
- Experience of having worked for a principal contractor in the construction / property sector or construction consultancy
