Burns Hamilton are delighted to be assisting one of our local clients in their search for a Building Manager within a prestigious residential building.
This is a permanent role, subject to a satisfactory three-month trial period.
The Role
Building Manager (Full-time) 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday with an attractive salary package
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of a prestigious development of apartments in Bournemouth and working as part of a team to achieve this.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop team of 12 staff to deliver first class customer service to residents and visitors.
- Organising staff rota within set annual budget.
- Arranging access and liaising with external maintenance contractors.
- Operating a maintenance database spreadsheet and ensuring works are programmed correctly.
- To ensure the CCTV is monitored and security systems are maintained.
- To communicate with external managing agents and take instruction from line manager, by email, phone and verbal exchanges.
The Ideal Candidate
- Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Be able to work as part of a team & demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Be an effective communicator, maintaining calm while under pressure.
- Experience of building/facility management or hotel management would be advantageous.
- Be able to maintain accurate records.
- Have a demonstrable awareness of First Aid, Fire Marshall and general Health & Safety matters, ideally with certificates to support this.
