I have exciting new roles available for a committed Maintenance Electrician with experience in a critical environment.
I am looking to recruit a Data Centre Shift Engineer and a Lead Data Centre Shift Engineer in the Farnborough area.
Data Centre Shift Engineer
Hours of work: 12 hour Continental Shift Rota
Reporting to: Campus Manager
Requirements:
- Working in a critical environment (essential)
- Trained in electrical/mechanical maintenance
- BMS Knowledge
- Able to ascend and descend vertical access equipment as well as being able to work at heights.
- A team player who is flexible in their working patterns
Purpose of the Job:
To carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the site. Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDU’s, Crac units or equivalent, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data.
Lead Data Centre Shift Engineer
Hours of work: 12 hour Continental Shift Rota
Reporting to: Building Supervisor
Requirements:
- 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation.
- C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds
- Level 3 Engineer
- Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, in particular UPS, Generators, Bladerooms, Water Treatment, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
- You should have a detailed understanding of all new or current building services systems
- Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team of technicians/operatives.
- Enthusiasm and demonstration of pro-activity, diligence and alertness, with the willingness to participate in appropriate training schemes
Position Concept:
You will be responsible for ensuring that all Engineering Operational activities within the Campus are controlled and that they are being carried out with due regard to Health and Safety, business risk and maintaining the 100% uptime criteria.
The Shift Leader is a key position to oversee the Coordination of all operations visitors to the Data Centre campus.
This position will also monitor the closure of the permits and provide the business with an ‘end of business report’ of outstanding permits. Scheduling, closing off PPM’s and entering reactive works to the planned preventative maintenance system will also be part of the position.
