The Role: Contracts Manager
Sector: Construction – Rail Upgrade Projects
Location: London / South East
Salary: £50,000+ +OTE
My client is a growing sector specialist with an exceptional client list across Rail Division contracts. Due to their growth, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Contracts Manager to join their team.
Based in the South East, the majority of the on-going works are concentrated in that area but they do have a reach further afield with a number of Train Operating Companies.
The Contract Manager role is all about relationships and to be successful you will need proven account management experience along with the ability to price jobs effectively and accurately.
You will be tasked with nurturing client relationships and ensuring that this company remains at the front of their clients’ minds when they are seeking out contractors to fulfil station upgrade jobs of a varied nature.
Ideally, you will have some experience of construction and upgrade works within a rail division but candidates with significant experience as a Contracts Manager in other construction fields will also be considered. What is essential is an eye for detail and experience of tender submissions. Project Management experience would be a real bonus too as the successful delivery of projects will also be within your remit.
The role will report into the Operations Director and help grow the business by ensuring no opportunities are missed. The project scales do vary but in most cases do not exceed £1M.
