Handyperson
Holborn, Central London
£25k - £27k plus training and qualification support

If you're looking for a varied Caretaker or Handyperson role in a lively atmosphere this is the job for you.

The role itself is fairly straightforward, and as you're an experienced Handyperson it won't be anything you've not dealt with before including general building repairs; doing basic plumbing work; changing lightblubs and fuses; maintaining building compliance and contributing to wider facilities projects to add some variety. The main difference here is that because it's site-based you'll be able to invest long-term in the building and take real pride in your work.

We also want to help you develop your skills so there'll be lots of opportunity for you to get a qualification in electrical work, plumbing or carpentry.

As you'll be working in a small university in Central London, part of which is classed as listed buildings, there will be the chance to get involved in interesting projects, building conservation and get support through extra qualifications.

As our new Maintenance Technician you'll develop close working relationships with the wider facilities team and external stakeholders and, because you'll become a known face, there may be times you'll be asked to muck in with other duties around the site, particularly around office moves and student intake days.

We really believe in giving back to the community and making sure our staff feel supported.
What this means for you is that you should always enjoy coming to work, have the benefits of a great team working around you where everyone is pulling in the same direction and the support of a wider organisation that is highly thought of in the education sector.

Our working environment is very friendly and supportive, students enjoy studying here so there's always a lively atmosphere and something going on.

If that sounds like a place you'd thrive in apply now!

Package
£25k - £27k salary
Pension, 11% after first year
25 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shut down
Training support for you to do additional qualifications
