Job Title: Contracts Manager, Tilbury (Temporary)
Salary: £50,000-£55,000
Job Type: 1 Year Maternity Cover
Position Description
Our clients Strategy envisage a significant increase in the renewable generation capacity.
The site uses locally sourced waste wood from the greater London area. Waste Wood is a renewable energy resource and waste wood fuel energy projects are eligible for support under the UK’s renewable energy policy.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for administering of our clients’ interests and obligations under the Project Agreements and oversee and monitor the performance of these Contracts and related agreements
Key Responsibilities
Assisting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the site; this role requires flexibility and will focus primarily on managing and administering interests and obligations under all contracts, licenses, consents and agreements associated with the plant and provide assistance in the managing of various stakeholders including:
- Plant Operation & Maintenance Agreement
- Fuel Supply Agreement
- Environmental Management System and licenses
- Setting up and managing contracts and service agreements
- Assistance in the management of stakeholders including Thurrock Council, local community, adjacent developments and industrial neighbours, industry contacts and others
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience and have a track record in:
- Contracts Management
- Commercial Negotiations
- Stakeholder Management
- Power Generation or similar technical experience
- Be a highly motivated self-starter
Desirable
- Project Management Experience
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of power plants
Qualifications
- 3rd level or equivalent experience in an Engineering, Business or Technical discipline
This role is based in Tilbury, England with will require occasional travel.
