My client is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to respond to all electrical related requests from the helpdesk. As well as electrical works you will take on building fabric repairs and mechanical maintenance where possible. There will also be a call out rota which you will need to take part in. The role is working on commercial properties which will include Schools, Offices and the Ambulance service.
Key responsibility for the role:
- Electrical maintenance, reactive and planned, including the following kit:
- Emergency lighting systems
- PIR controlled office lighting systems
- Addressable fire alarm systems
- Disabled/Nurse Call Systems
- Three phase power distribution systems
- Commercial heating systems including BMS control panels
- Air handling units/fan coil units
- Motor inverter controls
- General maintenance and repairs to building fabric
- Basic mechanical maintenance - plumbing and A/C work
- Speak with external contractors when needed
- Identifying, reporting and repairing of maintenance requirements
- Communicating with the clients, facilities officer and management when appropriate
- Responding to emergency call outs on the on-call rota system
- Health and Safety to ensure all properties are safe and compliant
Essential skills needed:
- A satisfactory enhanced DBS
- Full driving licence
- 17 th /18 th Edition
- C+G 2391 Testing and Inspection
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Commercial ACS or FGAS certification (not essential)
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisation skills
- Computer literate
- Working knowledge of current health and safety
- Flexible towards hours worked
