Our client is looking for an experience Project Manager to join their team within the capital estates department.
You will be the lead role for the conception, planning and management of the Trust capital schemes across three sites giving professional specialist advice to other Senior Estates and staff members.
The Role
- You will have advance knowledge of capital projects department.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels
- Liaise with external statutory bodies, i.e. Department of Health, NHS Estates, Building Control, Environment Agency etc
- Planning and production of comprehensive business cases
- Capable of planning/ design and project manage highly technical schemes
- Evidence of drive, initiative and creativity and negotiating abilities.
- A clear understanding of issues facing the NHS.
- Commission and project manage a range of major capital or new works projects
- Take the lead role in planning and design of schemes interfacing with Senior Managers of the Trust
- Give specialist estates advice to the Trust
- Responsible for the production of feasibility schemes
- Design and Manage in-house design works
- Work with others to ensure affordable capital programmes consistent with business priorities are delivered
- Line manage a project team Building/Engineering/CAD operatives and consultant specialists
- Manage a variety of Building/Engineering schemes which involve multidisciplinary teams:-
- External consultants
- Specialist services
- Direct Labour
- Contractors
The Person
- You will have a degree in building/engineering related subject or HNC with eqivalent experience.
- You will have a successful track record of working within a complex NHS environment.
- You will have a demonstrable track record of capital & major revenue schemes.
- High level of theoretical knowledge to manage wide range of estates issues & assets Knowledge & understanding of the complex integration of engineering & building services involved within planning, design & implementation of schemes
- IT skills on packages including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Project 2003
