Senior Cleaning Manager (For Luxury Hotels)

£35,000 to £45,000

(This is a fix term contract)

We are looking for an positive and forward thinking Senior Cleaning Manager from a High-end Hotel background. The Cleaning Manager will responsible of two other cleaning manager at two 5 star reviewed Hotels. The successful Cleaning Manager will have very strong interpersonal skills, and be able to build excellent customer relationships.

You will be responsible for the delivery Management and execution of the planned and reactive operational and maintenance cleaning tasks and team

  • Understands under-stated customer needs and respond appropriately.
  • Enthusiastic and committed to provide a professional, high quality service to the Company and the Client and instil a can-do attitude into the team


  • Ensure strict adherence to all processes and procedures; not limited to but including; Company Documentation, Work Instructions, ISO Processes, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments and Method Statements and Contract Cleaning Manual.
  • Ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place for all tasks you carry out both individually and as a team.
  • Ensuring appropriate Safe Systems of Work are applied and enforced.
  • That you wear the correct Uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
  • The safe removal of Waste in all its forms.
  • Ensure all actions raised during Audits relating to all areas of responsibility are acted upon.
  • Ensure that Changing Attitude towards Safety (CATS) is complied with and target reporting is achieved.
  • To follow all company procedures including all company health and safety requirements
  • Completion of required documentation as specified in relevant standards and regulations.
  • Maintain composure and behavioural standards in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Maintain enthusiasm and a positive attitude, even when confronted by negativity.
  • Assist with contract documentation relating to regulatory compliance.
  • Successful delivery and completion of assigned tasks for reactive and planned cleaning tasks. Ensuring a programmed start and finish appropriately and having completion prior to the target start.
  • Keeping the FM and Front of House Manager updated at all times, and closing out the tasks before the completion date is due.
  • Be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of assigned tasks in accordance with the requirements and specifications whilst warranting the application and compliance of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Support the Facilities Manager with financial controls / budgets / stock ordering and quotations as required.
  • To work overtime as and when required including nights; weekends and out of hours cover. Notice will always be given.
  • Detailed log notes to be maintained on each task specific sheet or entered into the appointed CAFM system or supported devices to ensure a clear audit trail of all actions taken.
  • Identify and follow through business opportunities to maximize the mutual benefits to the Client and the Company.
  • Adopt a proactive approach in all areas whilst demanding standards of excellence.

Essential Knowledge skills & experience


  • Budget Management, Experience of stock management and just in time deliveries
  • Able to price equipment and materials on assigned tasks as appropriate
  • Experience managing teams and implementation absence management processes
  • Be able to demonstrate experience and competence of full range of cleaning processes and how to use all cleaning equipment.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to accurately assign cleaning duties and appropriate timescales for those duties
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally & in writing
  • Able to write clearly and provide detailed notes
  • Appreciation of industry safety standards and procedures & the ability to learn new specialist techniques
  • Receptive to new ideas and look for innovative methods / practices to improve customer service and our service delivery.
  • Be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude

  • Emergency First Aid
  • BICs accredited
  • Experience of working within a customer focused environment.
  • Use competently, all technology, including computers and mobile phones to receive and record work information including hours worked on each work request.
  • Be able to work to a schedule on their own initiative
  • Have good communication skills
  • Communicating in a straight forward honest but sensitive way.
  • Understanding the importance of keeping customers & colleagues "in the loop"
  • Acts as a role model for the Enabling Excellence Behaviours
  • Anticipating needs and thinking ahead.
