The Role: Electrical & Controls SME (Senior Electrician)
Sector: FM / Property Management
Location: Basingstoke
Salary:£38,000 to £42,000 DOE
My client is a global services provider across multiple sectors and we are currently looking to find them a Senior Electrician for a client site in Basingstoke.
Ideally, you will have experience working in-house for a large corporate / commercial client.
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure electrical compliance on site
- Ensure smooth running and efficient running of all electrical services operations on-site
- Ensure that all costs and expenditure are within the budgeted levels agreed
- Comply with all Company & Client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
- Comply with electrical Regulations and Legislation
- Ensure the standards across the site are in accordance with the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators specified in the Client service contract
Essential
- Minimum electrical test & inspection (City & Guilds 2391) and BS7671 18th Edition qualification
- Working experience of being an LV authorised person (AP) appointed person
- Working knowledge of BMS and lighting maintenance systems in a FM/Commercial/Industrial/Process environment
- Understand electrical compliance processes, and the way in which regular statutory and client engineering processes and procedures impact upon this.
- Be familiar with statutory by laws, other legislative requirements and current trends in electrical compliance.
- Working knowledge of MS Office to enable delivery of role requirements
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the above areas.
- Building services or electrical maintenance related qualification or relevant demonstrable experience
- Understanding of M&E systems and terminology
Desirable
- Holder of ECS qualification/card
- NICEIC qualified supervisor
- Experience in EX rated areas (explosion)
- Experience within customer facing environments and resolving problems professionally
- Working knowledge of Maximo or other alternative CMMS systems
