My client is looking to recruit an Electrically biased Engineer to be based on a large static site in Kings Cross, London. You will be working on 1 site which makes it an excellent site to commute to on a daily basis using the railway and tube links in the vicinity.
The site is a large commercial property with several floors and requires a lot of ppm and reactive work in order to keep the site facilities running efficiently.
The site is very busy and contains offices, a leisure centre, libraries, conference centre and functions rooms so there is a variety of kit and environments to manage across the site.
You will work as part of a team of 2 alongside an electrical engineer in order to provide a full M+E Maintenance service to the client and provide a comprehensive FM service to the site.
Duties of the role include:
- All Electrical Maintenance on site – Lighting, Wiring, Alarms, UPS back up systems, HV switch gear, BMS etc.
- Basic Mechanical and Fabric maintenance as required to keep the site running smoothly.
- Managing subcontractors
- Keeping compliance folders up to date
- Showing round auditors
- Managing health and safety
- Completing on site surveys to keep in top of any additional works needed
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate for the role will have worked on a static site before and possess a high level of technical knowledge. They will also have the following skills and experience:
- C+G or NVQ in an Electrical Engineer
- 17th or 18th Edition
- HV experience would be a benefit
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good paperwork skills and attention to detail
