Catch 22 is a leading Facilities Management Recruitment Business with a network of clients across the UK. Our Technical Services Division is working in partnership with one of the UK's top 20 Facilities Management Contractors as we seek to source and appoint an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to cover multiple facilities in the South Yorkshire/ North Lincolnshire area, providing comprehensive service, maintenance and repair functions to a variety of clients.
The Client:
Established since the early 1960's, our client has become one of the leading players in Built Environment Construction and Maintenance, with over 2000 staff nationwide and a glowing reputation across all sectors but notably in the Healthcare and Education PFI Environment.
The company has evolved and developed a range of in-house services and now offers clients a complete 'cradle to grave' service, from acting as Principal Contractor, providing a complete construction service, through a comprehensive range of building, prefabrication, technical, fit-out and facilities management services including renewable technologies. They turnover in excess of £200,000,000 per annum and continue to build a first class reputation for construction and operational support services.
The Role:
On this occasion, our client is looking for an Air-Conditioning Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This will be on their education contract and the work will require;
Planned Preventative Maintenance and Compliance Checks
Reactive Maintenance including Fault Diagnosis, First Fix Repair Work, Refurbishments and New Installations
Coverage of basic AC Systems (Splits, Multi-Splits, VRV, VRF, AHU's etc)
Maintenance of associated electrical controls and mechanical equipment
Occasional work on ventilation systems
Client interaction, relationship development, remedial work estimating, etc.
All associated paperwork will be generated and maintained to ensure full compliance
Emergency Call out coverage on a rotational basis
The Candidate:
Candidates must be suitably qualified and experienced in Air Conditioning Maintenance and Repair work, preferably qualified to NVQ Level II or III in a relevant discipline and holding either the City and Guilds 2079 or a category 1 FGAS Qualification.
Candidates should have a good range of equipment knowledge across Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu systems and more.
Experience of Chillers / Refrigeration would be beneficial.
Candidates MUST hold a valid UK Driving License and they must be willing to undergo a DBS Full disclosure (formerly a CRB Check).
Some element of flexibility will be required in terms of working conditions so willingness to cover a call out rota and work occasional overtime will be required.
The Package:
We welcome applications from enthusiastic and motivated people who relish responsibility and are looking for a diverse and challenging career. In return we offer an industry-leading package, exceptional training and development opportunities and the chance to chart an exciting and varied career path.
A basic salary of £31,000 (negotiable within reason) and a generous benefits package, including company vehicle is available for the successful candidate.
