Working with one of the UK's leading Facilities Management. We are looking recruit an Commercial Gas Engineer to join their leading mobile maintenance division. This is a great opportunity for a Commercial Gas Engineer around the Gloucester, South West region who wants to be a part of a company that really look after and respect their employees.
The role is to operate within the maintenance team as a mobile Commercial Gas Engineer carrying out planned and reactive works to various commercial contracts. Over time is available weekday and weekends
The role will involve you working on:
- Fulfilling site(s) health, safety and environmental, quality and customer service targets
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of existing plant and equipment and diagnosing faults as required.
To ensure that the Lead Technician / Operations Manager is kept well informed of all aspects of safety performance, plant performance and customer circumstances which may impact upon the safe, efficient, reliable and cost-effective operation of the plant and smooth operation of the contract.
Safely and efficiently operate / maintain boiler plant, DHW Systems and water treatment equipment.
Taking Part in an on-call rota providing a maximum 2hr response time out-with office hours in a 2-man rota
To follow the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company Handbook
To complete all administrative functions correctly and efficiently, either paper log books or by using appropriate IT software, e.g. Maintenance Management System.
To become fully familiar with all Company and site procedures, which affect him and carry out all responsibilities detailed in the Integrated Company Management System (iCMS).
To represent the Company well to customers and external agencies by reasonable dress and demeanour and ensure the site and all Company property are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
To seek opportunities to enhance the Company's relationship with its existing customers and develop business potential
An access NI / CRB certificate is a requirement for this post and all applicants will be asked to complete this process.
A company van will be provided, and a valid driving licence must be maintained. Personnel more than 6 points on their licence will be referred to the company fleet manager for review and would be expected to comply with his recommendations
Qualification need for the role:
- Strong Non-domestic gas appliance background Gas safe qualifications
Ability to carry out work in an industrial setting and recognize safe working practices.
Experience of working with large utility plant such as boilers and compressors.
Gas safe certification
Experience of water treatment plant desirable.
Experience in building fabric repairs.
SOBA or BAOS training desirable (training provided to the correct applicant)
Must have a strong SHEQ working ethic
Must be willing to work overtime
Must be able to meet fleet criteria for driving requirements (points to be assessed on an individual basis)
The role offers plenty of overtime if you want it, on call allowance, company vehicle fully equipped (tools & parts), company uniform, PDA & Mobile.
