The role of the area foreman is to ensure the effective performance of their allocated area. Your role is to ensure that productivity is maintained by all crews alongside the necessary training, health & safety and communication.

The role of Foreman plays an important part in the process of delivering the necessary service of compliance offered to our customers.

You are employed to work night shift  Sunday - Thursday and your role is not expected to cover any works during the day

Key Responsibilities


  • Monitoring Engineers attendance and performance
  • Monitoring quality & compliance of jobs
  • Engineer Training
  • Health & Safety Checks
  • Workflow & communications with Management, Office & Customers

Functions of your Key Responsibilities


  • Monitoring the upcoming work scheduled (weekly & monthly) in your area to highlight potential issues. Monthly meeting and regular communication with scheduling will assist with this process
  • Ensuring 5 nights of work fully completed by each crew, time on site, reports returned, jobs completed
  • Regular QC checks of all engineer sites and report of findings
  • Ensure engineer training completed and updated where necessary-spreadsheet to be provided to maintain information
  • Regular H&S checks-eg van & ladder
  • Cancelling jobs with customers where necessary, informing office any issues
  • Covering sickness where possible to avoid loss of jobs – no holidays to be covered
  • Covering any remedial works at night – eg fan clean, grease leaks

Weekly/Daily Expectations


  • Action weekly crew list advising crews of changes due to holidays/sickness; inform scheduling of any concerns - Thursday
  • Weekly log emailed to Service Manager - (Thursday)-highlight your plans for following week
  • Daily email report on night issues
  • Take any calls after 5pm – not expected to deal with any calls during the day
  • QC Reports/Survey Reports & H&S checks
  • Maintain disciplinary process

Monthly Expectations


  • Meet management at Head Office to discuss overall area performance of crews and also meet with scheduling to discuss forthcoming month
