Dstl is responsible for designing, developing and applying the very latest in science and technology for the benefit of UK defence and security, across government. We are looking for a Technical Lead who can demonstrate collaborating and partnering by actively building and maintain a network of colleagues and contacts to achieve progress on objectives and shared interest. Someone who can establish relationships with a range of stakeholders to support delivery of business outcomes.
You’ll be a leader who excels at communicating who can communicate purpose and direction with clarity and enthusiasm, who can confidently engage with partners and colleagues at all levels to generate commitment to goals.
This role does not have Line Management responsibilities, but you’ll be responsible for setting out Dstl’s expectations of performance in terms of the levels of services delivered and how these are achieved. You’ll manage partners including DIO, Principal Contractors/Designers, and Environmental Regulators.
For this role you will need to have full membership of an Environmental Professional Body (e.g. IEMA). Essential skills include a proven ability in developing relationships with key stakeholders, experience of working to budget, working knowledge of ISO 14001 and environmental Auditing.
