IT Systems Manager

£55,000 – £65,000
Key Responsibilities:
The IT & Systems Manager will be ensuring alignment with business goals by developing the technical aspects of the company's strategy.
Focus upon new technologies that generate competitive advantage
Ensure company divisions are using technology cost effectively
Determine functionality and efficiency by ongoing supervision of the systems infrastructure
Develop quality assurance and data protection processes
Reviewing technological performances by monitoring KPI's and IT budgets
Manage and maintain business relations with contractors and suppliers
The IT & Systems Manager should encourage team building and collaborative working in order to deliver company objectives
Ensure effective service delivery by negotiating, managing, monitoring and procuring contracts for services provided by third parties
Deal competently with compliance regarding data protection legislation such as GDPR
Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. Prepare and implement project plans to achieve the desired outcomes.
Ensuring written protocols and guidelines are provided for IT staff and all end-users.
Keeping up-to-date with the most recent technologies and advising on what new technological solutions and their implementation will meet business and systems requirements.
The IT & Systems Manager should be responsible for contracting consultants and making service agreements. Consulting with suppliers of hardware and software to get the best deal, including external support,
Generating a budget for each project as well as overseeing the financial aspects of the entire IT department such as purchases and ongoing budgeting.
Requirements
- Established experience as a Manager or similar role
- Experience of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
- Expertise in technological trends to build strategy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and organise effectively.
