Role: Compliance Manager
Location: Prescot
Salary: £51k - £58k plus great benefits
The Opportunity
Do you have a background in construction or building compliance? Looking for a new opportunity? Like the idea of shaping a department?
We're a highly-regarded social housing organisation with a portfolio across the North West looking to develop a quality and accountability focused internal compliance team to ensure our sites remain safe for our clients. Reporting into the Director of Asset Management you'll manage a team of Compliance Officers, legal and system administrators to survey our assets, recommend improvements and refits and confirm when work has been carried out.
We've only recently brought the compliance team in house so whilst the majority of systems are in place there is a lot of scope for you to shape the way the entire department operates and efficiencies which can be brought in to maintain best practice.
Alongside your team there's a lot of internal and external stakeholders you'll be liaising with, from suppliers and external bodies through to Directors within our organisation, so you'll be regarded as an authority within the business.
All About You
If you come from a construction compliance management background we'd love to hear from you!
Owing to the responsibility of the role we would need you to have managed a team of Compliance Officers or Surveyors before and have experience working in a landlord compliance discipline. Whether you're a generalist or have a background specialising in fire, asbestos or M&E so long as you know your way around compliance we're keen to have a chat.
Obviously a background in social housing would be an advantage but it's not the be all and end all.
As we've mentioned this role is overseeing fairly new team so some of our processes and systems are at an early stage. If you could bring examples of assessing, devising and embedding policies and SOPs that would be great.
Whilst this role is mainly office based you may occasionally need to visit sites or stakeholders so you'll need to hold a full driving licence (business mileage paid).
What We Can Bring
Alongside our social value accreditations we like to think we stand out from all the other social housing and commercial companies in the area because of our people. Everyone who joins the team knows their stuff and enjoys what they do, so they create a good working atmosphere.
Our dedicated compliance team is a fairly new unit but we've got talented, highly experienced people already on board who all recognise this is a great chance to come in and shape a department from the ground up. They're now looking for a leader who shares that vision to become their new Compliance Manager.
