Role: Chartered Building Surveyor
Location: Leicester
Salary: £55k - £65k plus car allowance
The Opportunity
If you're an ambitious Building Surveyor looking for an opportunity to build your own legacy within an already successful organisation this is the job for you.
We're a well-renowned facilities management company who supply a variety of sectors across the UK, working with some of the biggest names across healthcare, education, retail and commercial businesses. We're offering the chance to join our current real estate team to develop relationships with those clients and oversee the delivery of lifecycle and project works.
Based in our Leicester HQ and covering work across the Midlands you'll partner with and consult on current surveying requirements across our client base, building close relationships with our internal delivery teams to get an insight into the services we currently offer and then develop strategies to generate surveying work from those. We have a huge bank of clients for you to go at but any additional companies you can bring on board would be great.
From there the fun starts. In your new Building Surveyor role you'll have the opportunity to take on the full gamut of project and lifecycle works, from proposal through to delivery whilst acting as consultant to your clients.
We realise this is a big job to take on but, once you're established, the plan is to build a team up underneath you as we continue to grow together.

All About You
Alongside being a Chartered Building Surveyor (hopefully that bit should go without saying) communication and relationship building skills are going to be key for this one. Whether it's making friends around the office or winning a tricky client over to enjoy this job you're going to need to be a people person.
In an ideal world you'll come from a consultancy or practice background where you enjoy generating new work and looking after contracts across their full lifecycle.
The current surveying team is spread out across the UK so whilst your manager will be on hand as a guide to make the most of this opportunity you should be confident in your own technical and commercial abilities, managing your own workload and in a position where you're looking to build a team of your own.
