Job Title: Dockmaster

Sector: FM – Soft Services – Goods In – Supply Chain

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Location – London

 

Our client owns one of London’s most popular and iconic mixed use developments. They are a vibrant home to a large number of small, independent businesses that range from tech start-ups to street food. The Dockmaster role is now available for a highly organised individual who is passionate about ensuring smooth delivery systems are in place to support the diverse range of businesses that call the area home.

Job Purpose:



  • To Lead and Manage to the goods receiving & distribution operation / process across the development


  • Manage the movement of goods received to the appropriate internal customer / operator within the agree daily operating window


  • Ensure the day to day operation of the site is delivered consistently with continuity plans in place to avoid disruption


  Key Responsibilities:



  • Operate and manage the booking system so that all deliveries are planned in in advance to the agreed schedule


  • Ensures that the delivery operation operates within the agree operating window 


  • Ensure the operation has business continuity / emergency planning embedded to minimise disruption to the operation


  • Act as key point of contact for all customers and suppliers in relation to the goods receiving / management operation


  • Comply with all health & safety responsibilities in relation to the operation at all times 


  • Main all daily, weekly, monthly routines are scheduled and delivered consistently to the agreed standards


  • Create and develop regular management reporting to measure activities and to help continuously improve all aspects of the operation


  • Closely monitor and manage all costs associated with the operation providing regular financial reporting as required


  • Build and develop team to support operation and build further succession capability and capacity 


  • Build and maintain close working relationships with both cleaning, waste and other operations teams


  • Close working relationship with local council and community


  • Maintain and manage storage space locations in relation to operation
