A large healthcare organisation is currently seeking a senior Estates professional on an interim basis for a period of 3 months initially. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as a single point of contact for day to day issues deriving from properties within their defined estate area of responsibility and manage their portfolio in line with the established Service Level Agreements;
  • Reporting to the Head of Estates, will be responsible for the maintenance and development of a modern and flexible property portfolio in support of the organisations Estate Strategy; 
  • Will provide assistance to the SMT in the provision of expert advice and assurance for all property-related matters; 
  • Responsible for providing updates to ensure that the organisations information and management systems are well informed and to assist in developing the Trust’s property portfolio achieves current and future needs so that mandatory central information returns are completed in a timely and accurate fashion; 
  • Responsible for supporting the organisations implementation of the Estates Strategy/Plan, the Environment Strategy and carbon reduction and particularly for ensuring that the development of the estate is conducted in a manner that reduces environmental impact and long term costs;
  • Management of all aspects of the Estates function to ensure that a first class Estates service is provided, support the delivery of the Trust’s operations within the defined area of responsibility.

A successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Building, Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering or equivalent; 
  • Hold expert, technical understanding of the range of highly specialist Estates and Facilities Services provided within the healthcare community; 
  • Fully conversant with statutory requirements, NHS estates guidance, codes of practice and requirements of regulatory authorities.
