About the role
We are seeking a Bid Writer to provide support to the UK business. Reporting directly into the Bid Manager this role will have responsibility for assisting the bid team in writing and pricing tenders and bids.
Our client is a large, award winning outsourcing solutions business operating within the UK & Ireland.
- Assist developing pricing strategy with sales lead
- Develop Pricing matrix on all Bids/Tenders
- Collate and draft technical written bid question responses
- Proof reading and reviewing tender documents and spreadsheets for errors and omissions
- Liaise with design, sales, marketing and operations team to gain develop and maintain high quality document production
- Liaising with operations for set up and design/sales to ensure mock up product brochures
- Collate pricing information from submitted tenders, including unit prices and discounts
Skills and Experience
- Team player used to the complex nature of bid preparation and pricing
- 2-4 years' work experience in a bid writing role
- Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen in business issues
- Commercial related Industry experience
- Excellent eye for detail
- Effective negotiating skills
- Track record of upselling services
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in commercial tendering and pricing
- Good presentation skills
- Advanced MS Office Skills
