The client

Working for a collection of prestigious venues in London, privately owned and extremely high profile. There has been a lot of investment and project work recently and therefore created this new role which offers fantastic career progression. The team is dedicated, passionate about property and this makes it a very exciting place to work. 

The Role

You will be responsible for running the day to day operations of the department and the delivery of property management services to the group.  You will have direct line management responsibility for a team of four: Contracts and Projects Manager, Asset Manager, CAFM Administrator and Technical Operations Property and projects Administrator) and oversee a wider team of eleven staff in total.

Through direct management of the asset management function you will be responsible for the Forward Maintenance Register including life cycle works, re-roofing, air-conditioning and major redecorations, both internal and external of all properties.

You will be responsible for managing a variety of projects making sure they are delivered safely, on time and budget. These major projects currently range from £500,000 to £1,000,000 and amongst others include works to auditorium ceilings at seven theatres, exterior and roof works at eight theatres and replacement generators at three theatres.

You will assist the Head of Properties and Projects in the development and implementation of medium to long-term strategic plans and policies for the properties.  You will also deputise for the Head of Properties and Projects as and when required.

Requirements

You must be a Property and Project Management Professional with significant experience in the management of listed buildings. You will have a significant senior management experience in an operational role gained ideally at a high quality public facing organisation.  Preferably you will have a technical qualification such as surveying/mechanical/electrical or construction plus hold a project management and health and safety (i.e. IOSH or NEBOSH) qualification.

You must have extensive experience in managing projects as well as dealing with consultants and sub-contractors with a strong focus around quality, compliance and cost-effectiveness.

You must have very good communication and stakeholder management skills. In addition to this, you must be a confident people manager with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and deploy available to you resources in the most effective way.

Salary 

£65,000 – 75,000 per annum depending on experience and an attractive benefits package including a discretionary bonus, five weeks’ paid holiday plus Bank Holidays, and a generous pension contribution.
