Workspace Shift Technician
Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Team Collaboration
Promote a culture of teamwork, service excellence, and continuous professional development
Actively engage in coaching and mentoring to enhance technical capability
Support colleagues to ensure consistently high standards across all engineering activities
Operational Responsibilities
Fully comply with client contractual requirements, consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs
Deliver high-quality planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
Adhere to established operating procedures and emergency response protocols
Champion Risk & Safety best practices to minimise service disruption and ensure operational resilience
Identify and implement service improvements to enhance technical performance
Demonstrate a proactive, continuous improvement approach to quality, safety, and reliability
Essential Qualifications & Experience
City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience working within a critical or high-reliability environment
Strong IT literacy, including experience with BMS and digital monitoring/control systems
Ability to work effectively within a shift-based environment
Desirable Skills & Certifications
HV/LV Authorised Person (AP15) status (refresher training available)
Current IEE Wiring Regulations certification or equivalent mechanical qualification
HNC or HND in Engineering
Confined Space Authorised Person (refresher training available)
Mechanical Pressure Systems Authorised Person (refresher training available)
IOSH certification
Working Pattern & Location
12-hour rotational shift pattern (days and nights)
Flexibility to provide additional support outside scheduled shifts when required
Site-based role at the client’s premises
