Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Key Responsibilities Engineering & Operational Support
  • Deliver engineering support across multiple sites, resolving faults and providing technical expertise to FM teams.
  • Complete PPM, reactive maintenance, and self-delivered tasks efficiently and to high standards.
  • Respond to emergency situations and participate in the engineering call-out rota.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all works are performed in line with Safe Systems of Work and health & safety regulations.
  • Supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with inductions and site requirements.
  • Act as a Safety Champion, proactively identifying and addressing health and safety issues.
Systems & Maintenance Management
  • Coordinate planned system shutdowns safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain plant and equipment to ensure operational reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Keep accurate documentation to satisfy legal, statutory, and client requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels of consumables and critical electrical spares.
Resource & Job Management
  • Plan and manage workload across multiple buildings, balancing PPM and reactive tasks.
  • Raise material requests, obtain quotations, and manage associated documentation.
  • Record and manage work orders via CAFM systems, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
Personal Development
  • Keep up to date with UK electrical standards and regulations, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Expand your knowledge of M&E systems across multiple sites.
  • Review O&M manuals for new systems and recommend PPM schedule adjustments.
  • Participate in relevant training, including Low Voltage Authorised Person (LV AP) duties.
Collaboration & Relationships
  • Work closely with supervisors, management, and colleagues to deliver exceptional service.
  • Liaise with subcontractors to obtain specifications, quotations, and material pricing.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving.
Person Specification Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2–3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Knowledge of SFG20 Maintenance Specification.
  • Relevant building maintenance training (First Aid, MEWP, PASMA, Water Treatment, LMS, BMS).
  • Health & Safety training.
  • Membership of a professional engineering body (desirable).
Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems in building maintenance environments.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary technical teams across complex facilities.
  • Familiarity with asset management systems, CAFM platforms, and mobile/PDA technology.

  • Clear, confident communication with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
