Associate Director: Lifecycle

  • Salary: £77,000 plus £7,000 car allowance plus competitive bonus up to 30 percent

We are supporting a leading infrastructure fund manager in the recruitment of an Associate Director to join their Lifecycle Capital Works stream within the wider Programmes team. This position plays an important role in leading and overseeing lifecycle capital works across a diverse nationwide portfolio.

The position sits within a stable, non cyclical infra fund environment, without any responsibility for work winning, bidding or client retention. The focus is on delivering high quality capital works, programme leadership and effective management of outsourced consultants and contractors.

The role is ideal for candidates with strong experience in lifecycle, capital replacement, variations or defects programmes, and a background in client side environments. Professional qualifications such as MRICS or MCIOB are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Lead the planning and management of lifecycle capital works across a nationwide portfolio
• Provide direction to external consultants and delivery partners, ensuring strong design, commercial and cost considerations
• Oversee the appointment and performance management of outsourced resources, ensuring clear scopes, briefs and work packages
• Support programme governance, reporting and performance monitoring
• Assist with procurement activities and the selection of suitably qualified consultants and contractors
• Support continuous improvement of workflow, reporting and programme management processes

Requirements


  • Experience delivering or overseeing lifecycle, capital replacement or defects programmes within operational environments
  • Professional qualification such as MRICS or MCIOB, or working towards chartership
  • Experience within sectors such as PFI, healthcare, education or custodial is beneficial
  • Proven ability to lead external consultants and design teams across multiple projects
  • Strong understanding of compliance, regulation and technical requirement
  • A structured and organised approach to governance, reporting and stakeholder communication
  • Ability to pass a DBS check
