Our customer are a well-established Facilities Maintenance organisation, operating across the UK and Europe as part of a larger group. Based at one of their longest held accounts across the UK for a Telecommunications and Data Centre client, the firm have just had approval for an Air Conditioning Engineer to be based across a campus of buildings in the Hertfordshire area and working Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00. Guideline salary is circa £53-55,000 basic, along with an opportunity for limited overtime and training, as well as standard company benefits.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an existing AC & refrigeration engineer to transition to a resident based position. In a massive growth sector such as data centres with a wide array of training available, combined with perhaps being based more local to home in Hertfordshire, this is a unique chance to accelerate the career of an ambitious and enthusiastic AC & Refrigeration engineer with a technical mindset.
The Role
· Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to building services equipment
· Carrying out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks allocated
· Carrying out inspections, fault finding and diagnosis
· Ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with agreed service levels
· Completing job sheets electronically on a Tablet or Smartphone
· Maintaining site-based records and log books (FGas)
· Carrying out general cleaning and housekeeping to maximise life expectancy of all equipment
· Proactively working to reduce energy consumption on client sites and recommending improvements
· Working to all health, safety, compliance and local policies and procedures
· Maintaining excellent relationships with across team and customers – face to face, telephone and email
· Maintaining correct stock levels
Qualifications and Experience Required
· F-Gas Cat 1
· City & Guilds level 2/3 in Electrical Engineering
· Commercial building maintenance experience in a customer-facing environment
· Experience in downflow units, CRAC units and split units
